Top 10 Film Scores Which Were Tarnished by the Movie Itself

There are many aspects to film which are more important to some people than others. For me, the score is one of the most vital parts to a film. If a movie doesn’t have a score I enjoy, it is already on the back-step. This isn’t to say I don’t enjoy films that have scores I am not particularly fond of, it’s just that there is a greater chance of me enjoying the movie if it does. A great score is a work of art in itself, and I find it a great shame if someone doesn’t get to exp

Why DC Will Never Beat Marvel's Cinematic Universe

The constant battle between DC and Marvel has been an argument that has existed for what feels like the length of time, but it has excelled massively, of late, when Marvel created it’s Cinematic Universe 10 years ago. Marvel has without-a-doubt created a money making machine within cinema today, so why is it that Warner Bros. have struggled to get their DC Universe off the ground, especially when they have had huge advantages over Marvel? Such as owning all the heroes within

Avengers: Infinity War Review

If you’ve read many Avengers: Infinity War reviews, they’d tell you how it is 10 years on since the MCU started, where Tony Stark was introduced to the big screen and, with that, the first ever after credit teaser was revealed. “You think you are the only superhero out there? Mr Stark, you have become part of a bigger universe” Fury tells Tony, but little did we know just how big the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be. Avengers: Infinity War is an event marking the 10 year an

Actor of the Week: Zoe Saldana

Zoe Saldana is an unusual actress, due to the fact that she has been in some of the biggest films ever made, but I don’t think that she is at the top of the list when it comes to A-List celebrities. The reason why Saldana gets the roles she has acquired in her career is because of her incredible talent, which is why she is our Actor of the Week this week. The first time I saw Zoe Saldana was in the first Pirates of the Caribbean, The Curse of the Black Pearl, where she plays

Black Panther Review

There has been a lot of hype around Black Panther, with it being the first proper black superhero film. Like Wonder Woman, it is the first of its kind, which really highlights a specific demographic. I was a fan of Wonder Woman, but I do feel that the quality of the film was blown out of proportion due to it being the first of its kind, and if I am honest, I do feel this is the same for Black Panther. I enjoyed the film, but it was not the best superhero film I have seen by a

Trailer Review: Avengers: Infinity War

On Wednesday we were gifted, by Marvel Studios, the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, and it was something very special. In such a short space of time, it has become the most watched trailer ever, and rightfully so. Unlike the Justice League, we have all been on a very long journey with these characters and it is now coming to point where we see what Marvel have been working towards, with this tease only adding to the anticipation and excitement. I’ve said it before,

Thor: Ragnarok Review

As we near the end of Marvel’s Phase 3, with only Black Panther left as the last solo film before Avengers: Infinity War, I have to say I have been pretty disappointed so far. I have often felt that within this phase, the films have generally started to become something that isn’t quite for me, but when it comes to Thor: Ragnarok, I was NOT disappointed. Sure the film wasn’t perfect, and it did have some of the traits that are wearing thin with me when it comes to the MCU, bu

Is Universe Building Ruining The Art of Film?

Ever since we saw Tony Stark talking to General Ross at the end of The Incredible Hulk back in 2008, something happened to cinema that has now changed films forever. This was the start of building a movie universe, where characters from one film would crossover into another character’s film, making it look as if everything that was happening in these individual films was all part of this single world. I was 15 when this all started, and I was completely sold on the idea. The

Trailer Review: Thor - Ragnarok Trailer 2

With the Justice League trailer being released before Marvel Studios had their conference at the SDCC, they had a big task ahead of them in regards to competing with what DC had to offer. Marvel, of course, were not worried at all, as they also had an incredible tease up their sleeve, that tease being the latest trailer for Thor: Ragnarok. Even though, in my opinion, the trailer was quite spoiler heavy, it has done it’s job, which is to get me super excited for the next insta

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 Review

With being a huge fan of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.1, I have to say I was extremely excited for Vol.2. After watching the sequel last night, I feel as though this film has suffered from the common problem a lot of sequels suffer from, and that is trying to take what made the first film good and multiplying that by ten. The film starts off with taking us back, and showing us some of Peters history by providing the audience with a little bit of background on his parents. As w

Thor: Ragnarok Teaser Trailer

I am not sure about you, but I have been really excited to see the first Thor: Ragnarok trailer, a trailer that feels like we’ve been waiting ages for, but today we were finally treated to it and man does it look good. This is only a teaser but we certainly get shown a fair share amount of exciting footage. It‘s not spoiler heavy, but it definitely shows enough to get us pumped. The trailer starts off by showing us that Thor is not in a good position, then it continues with g

Spider-Man: Homecoming Trailer 2

With not much notice or hype, the second trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming has dropped today, and it certainly did not disappoint. It is very spoiler happy but it certainly shows Marvel know what they’re doing with our friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man. Firstly just touching on the spoilers, I wasn’t really happy with how much of the story this preview has given away. Within this trailer we see why the villain, The Vulture played by Michael Keaton, is so unhappy. For whateve

Deadpool 2 Teaser Trailer

If you were one of the lucky ones to see Logan in the US, you will have been treated to a little teaser for Deadpool 2 before the showing (not after, the unique b****s) and even though this teaser shows no actual real footage of the film itself, it keeps us reminded that our black and red spandex friend is coming, and don't forget it. Can we cast Cable already?! Release date TBC Please tell us what you think in the comments section below... #marvel #trailer #film #movie #Dead

Logan Review

Logan is probably one of the best superhero films I have ever seen, after The Dark Knight. Man, this film really gets everything right. The acting from Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman is genuinely award winning, with their talent clearly shining through their roles. This is seen through Jackman's portrayal of a worn and dying Logan, and Stewart playing an Xavier suffering from dementia. On top of this we have Dafne Keen as X-23, who was also amazing. For her to get involved

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Trailer 2

Here we have it, the 2nd and most likely the final trailer for Guardians Of The Galaxy 2, and it does not look like it is going to dissapoint. They seem to have kept the essence of what made the first film so great, whilst expanding the team. Groot also looks to be even better in this film, which is some achievement as he was brilliant. I am a big fan of Kurt Russell, so that is really the icing on the cake for this film for myself, and any other Russell fans i'd imagine. Bri
